WINE DESCRIPTION
This crisp, aromatic white wine from Soalheiro is a delightful expression of Alvarinho, Portugal's most famous grape variety. This wine deserves its nickname, the grapes come from specially selected vines growing on granite from vineyards at higher altitudes (400 meters). The higher Alvarinho grows, the more mineral and less fruity the later wine. The vines have to root deeply in the massive, stony soil in order to get water and nutrients.
