WINE DESCRIPTION

Simonnet-Febvre 100 Series Pinot Noir is a regional-appellation quality wine showcasing the varietal character of Pinot Noir in classic Burgundian style. Simonnet-Febvre can source their grapes from all over the overarching region of Burgundy which allows them to maintain quality and stylistic consistency despite vintage conditions. After harvesting, sorting and crushing the grapes, a temperature-controlled fermentation occurs in stainless steel tank to create a delicately extracted, easy-going style. The wine is matured for a period of around 12 months in tank to harmonise before its release.

The Simonnet-Febvre 100 Series Pinot Noir shows a vibrant pale ruby color, suggestive of a lightly extracted wine.On the nose, aromas of fresh red berries, such as cherries and raspberries, mingle with subtle floral notes, creating a captivating bouquet. There is also a faint hint of earthiness, typical of Burgundy. Upon tasting, the wine reveals a medium-bodied structure with supple tannins. The flavors of red fruits persist on the palate, whilst the fresh acidity balances the modest, varietally-expressive finish.
