Cape Town is a South African Wine of Origin district located in the Coastal Region, established in 2017. The history of winemaking in Cape Town dates back to the 1600s, when the Dutch East India Company brought vines to the region. The district was introduced in 2017 as a closer association between the city and its tourist attractions.

Ethique
I thoroughly enjoyed my 2011 vintage, which I had the pleasure of savoring alongside a fantastic film, Jan Blohm's Die Boer. The wine's quality was undeniable, but the label's design left something to be desired. My friend's comment about the wine being superior was well-founded, and I must admit, the bottle's lack of a prominent 'Gun' emblem was a notable omission.
