WINE DESCRIPTION
Sierra Salinas Mira is full bodied, dry red wine with a ripe expression of black fruit, savory herbal nuances, a full body adn ripe chewy tannins intended for cnsumption within the medium term. The winery was brought by the family owned MGWines Group in 2018. Based near Alicante, this wine is made the predominantly Monastrell, supported by Alicante Bouschet, Garnacha Tintorera. All of the fruit is estate grown. The winemaking involves a warm fermentation and an long total vatting time extracting a deep color and abundant, ripe tannins The wine is aged for more than 12 months in older French oak. This wine is a good choice for anyone seeking something similar, yet different, to Californian Zinfandel.

Sierra Salinas Mira displays and opaque ruby color in the glass.On the nose, it offers intense aromas of baked black fruit and resinous dried herbs. The palate is dry, full bodied and borad with a high degree of fruit concentration, abundant chewy tannins. Everythings is held together by a balanced acidity leading to a long finish with subtle complexity in the form of coffee notes from toasted oak. This wine screams Texas style BBQ. Drink within 8 years.
