WINE DESCRIPTION
Siegel San Elias Carmenère is produced by family-owned Viña Siegel Winery, with Alberto Siegel acting as chairman and chief winemaker. Carmenère is sourced from the warm Central Valley, that experiences the ideal conditions to ripen the variety and curb its tendency to create rustic and overly herbaceous wines. The wine is fermented and left on the lees in inert vessels without the influence of oak to create a pure varietal expression of Carmenère.

The Siegel San Elias Carmenère showcases the unique characteristics of the Carmenère variety.With its deep, ruby red color and aromas of red plums and freshly cut green peppers. On the palate, this Carmenère is medium-bodied and velvety, with lightly grippy tannins and a well-balanced acidity. The flavors of ripe red and black fruits, such as blackberries and plum, are complemented by notes of coffee. The wine has a moderate length finish with an underlying herbal quality.
