WINE DESCRIPTION
Shea Vineyard, first planted with wine grapes in the late 1980s, is now a 290-acre property with 155 acres of vines. Of these, 149 acres are dedicated to Pinot Noir and the remainder to Chardonnay. Shea Wine Cellars uses about 20% of the Pinot Noir fruit for its releases, selling the rest to top winemakers in Oregon and California. Located in Yamhill County, the vineyard sits on sedimentary soil over fractured sandstone. Shea Vineyard, an early vineyard in this region, practices sustainable farming certified by LIVE, ensuring environmental stewardship and sustainability. Vine spacing is 5x7, yielding 1,245 plants per acre.
