Victoria is Australia's premier wine region, located in the south-eastern corner of the continent. With a long history of winemaking, Victoria is home to some of the country's most renowned wineries and vineyards.
Victoria's wine industry began due to the discovery of gold in the 1850s, leading to a influx of settlers from Europe, who brought vines and know-how from home. By 1890, Victoria was producing half of all the wine in Australia, but the spread of phylloxera in the late 19th Century and a number of wider issues, caused a decline. The industry didn't get started again until the 1960s.

This is truly exceptional. In 2015 Ramsay was remarkably prescient, anticipating it would remain a benchmark for years to come. Rich, silky texture, rich berry fruit with just the right amount of firmness and a satisfying, lingering finish.

Miaopin
Luscious and multi faceted wine with a gentle texture, boasting a deep, bold colour and a full-bodied structure. The fruit is ripe and luscious, with tones of plum, blackberry, and blood plum, highlighted by suggestions of cinnamon, Star anasi, and licorice. The finale is long and satisfying, with a subtle nuance that adds dimension and complexity. The French oak handling has clearly enhanced the wine, adding a dimension that is both gentle and satisfying. A truly amazing wine with great potential for aging.

Decadent and evolved wine with a deep, concentrated fruit character. The nose is highlighted by by blackberry and blueberry, with nuanced notes of prunes. The texture is well-balanced, with a medium-bodied backbone and a rewarding blackberry and raspberry finish. The tannins are still present, but not overpowering. A well-crafted wine with a long finish. Bought from Ramsay's review, highly recommended.
