Selvapiana Toscana Fornace is a red wine produced by Selvapiana, a renowned winery in the Chianti Rufina appellation of Tuscany, Italy. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 150-200 meters above sea level, with a southwest exposure and a soil composition of clay and limestone. The wine is made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes, which are carefully selected and hand-harvested. The winemaking process involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in a high proportion of new French oak barrels for over a year. The resulting wine is a full-bodied and complex red, with notes of dark fruit, spice, and tobacco. Selvapiana Toscana Fornace is a perfect representation of the Super Tuscan style.
