Sea Smoke Chardonnay is a highly regarded white wine produced by Sea Smoke Estate Vineyards, situated in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of California's Santa Barbara County. This region's cool climate and maritime influence from the Pacific Ocean create optimal conditions for growing Chardonnay grapes. The winemaking process involves hand-harvesting the grapes and fermenting them in French oak barrels, followed by aging in these barrels for around 16 months. The resulting wine is a beautiful expression of Chardonnay, with a rich and creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and flavors of ripe apple, citrus, and subtle oak.
