WINE DESCRIPTION

Sculpterra Primitivo is a combination of three Primitivo lots, that were harvested at different levels of ripeness, helping to build both aromatic complexity and balance in the final blend. The separate lots were fermented in a variety of fermentation vessels which also creates different character in the wines. The wines were aged in a combination of new and neutral oak barrels of differing capacities. The wine was blended and aged in bottle for a short period before to release.

This Sculpterra Primitivo is a full-bodied, deep ruby-colored powerful red wine.It has aromas of jammy blackberries, plums, dried herbs and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is smooth and lush, with flavors of juicy black cherries and blackberries, supported by soft tannins and a broad, expansive mouthfeel. The finish is long, with notes of licorice and oak that complement the jammy, dark fruit profile.
