WINE DESCRIPTION
Schiopetto Pinot Grigio is produced by one of the most influential wineries in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. The grapes are manually harvested and sorted before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are aged for a period of around 8 months on lees (decomposing yeast) to harmonise the flavors, before spending around 5 months in bottle prior to release. The wine is a highly-expressive and richly-textured Pinot Grigio, showcasing the more serious side of the variety.

This Schiopetto Pinot Grigio displays a pale golden color in the glass.On the nose, it offers bright aromas of pear, custard apple, lemon zest, and honeysuckle flowers. These flavors are accompanied by riper stone fruit notes of white peach and melon. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a pleasant acidity, and notes of ripe pear, citrus, and almond. The finish is long and crisp with a hint of minerality and subtle savory undertones that add a layer of complexity.
