WINE DESCRIPTION
Scarpa Briccorosa Rouchet Monferrato Rosso is made entirely from the local Ruchè variety. Scarpa Briccorosa opted to rename their wine
“Rouchet”, as the wine falls outside the official Ruchè appellations and thus they are not permitted to use the regular name. Vinification occurs in stainless steel vats with a focus on gentle extraction. The wine matures for a period in inert vessels and bottle before its release, resulting in a highly varietally expressive wine that showcases the personality of Ruchè.

Scarpa Briccorosa Rouchet Monferrato Rosso displays a pale to medium ruby color on pouring.On the nose, it delivers notes of red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle floral notes and a hint of spice. On the palate, this wine showcases a medium to full body, with firm tannins that provide a structure and help frame the red fruit flavors. The notes of sour cherries and raspberries are complemented by earthy undertones and a touch of dried herbs. The acidity is well-balanced, adding freshness and balance to the long finish.
