Santa Rita Reserva Merlot hails from the foothills of the Andes, where the unique climate and soil conditions contribute to its exceptional character. The region experiences significant thermal oscillations between day and night, thanks to cold winds from the Andes, resulting in optimal ripening conditions for Merlot grapes. The alluvial, volcanic soil, with its excellent moisture retention capacity, further enhances grape quality. Harvested manually in April, the grapes undergo gentle destemming and pressing before fermentation at controlled temperatures. A small portion undergoes fermentation in oak barrels to enhance color and stability. Following fermentation, a portion of the wine is aged in French oak for 6 to 8 months, imparting complexity and structure. Santa Rita Reserva Merlot offers a harmonious balance of fruitiness, elegance, and subtle oak influences, making it an ideal choice for wine enthusiasts seeking a refined and approachable red wine.
