WINE DESCRIPTION
Santa Rita 120 Hero's Salute Red Blend comes from Chile's Central Valley. The central zone has a Mediterranean climate with a high daytime-night time temperature oscillation which helps the wine retain acidity and freshness. This wine is a majority blend of Cabernet Franc with a proportion of Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes are handpicked in April and cold-soaked for 5 days to maximize color extraction. The must was fermented at 78°– 82° F aimed at moderate extracting whilst retaining fruit character. Post-fermentation maceration was carried out to enhance complexity and round out the wine. 20% of the wine was aged in French oak for 4
months to enhance sweetness and complexity.

The Santa Rita 120 Hero's Salute Red Blend offers enticing notes of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums, accompanied by hints of vanilla and spice.These aromas are further enhanced by herbaceous aromas of green bell pepper and a subtle grassiness that gives this wine a burst of freshness and aromatic lift.
The first sip reveals a rich and velvety texture, with a medium body that coats the palate. The flavors of dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, take center stage, complemented by subtle hints of oak and spice. The tannins are well-integrated, providing a smooth and elegant mouthfeel.
