WINE DESCRIPTION
Royal Tokaji Szent Tamás Furmint is a supremely elegant, unoaked wine from the Hungarian region of Tokaj. This area located in the Northeast of the country is perhaps better known for their fabled sweet, botrytised wines, however the flagship Furmint grape lends itself equally well to producing bone dry styles. The celebrated First Growth vineyard of Szt. Tamás overlooks the Royal Tokaji winery in Mád.
After harvesting the Furmint grapes, whole bunches are pressed and fermented in Zemplén oak barrels. After fermentation the wine was matured for six months in oak prior to bottling.

The Royal Tokaji Szent Tamás Furmint has a delicate pale straw color in the glass.On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of ripe pear, green apple, and hints of citrus. These fruity notes are complemented by marked floral undertones, adding a touch of elegance to the bouquet. Upon tasting, the wine displays a medium body with a core of razor sharp acidity that gives energy and vivacity to the palate. Flavors of juicy orchard fruits, such as pear and green apple are beautifully intertwined with zesty lemon notes. There is also a pleasant minerality that adds depth and complexity to the overall profile.
