Rodrigues Lalande Chateau Tour de Castres Graves is an earthy, red blend from the Graves appellation located on the left bank of Gironde estuary in Bordeaux, France. The blend is made up of roughly equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The varieties are typically harvested and vinified separately, before the wine is matured in a French oak barrels. The oak aging helps to round out the tannins and contributes sweet oak spices, that perfectly complements the dark fruit flavors.
