Jovan
Solid entry from the Lot18 shipment, boasting a well-balanced fruit profile with a pleasing spice note on the finish. The finale is smooth, with a gentle oak influence and minimal tannins, making it an easy-drinking wine.
Myrsini
Evolved nose with a cool, wet, salty sea breeze after a storm, followed by hints of plum, with a salty component on the attack, and herbal notes of grasses, dried wood, currant, and minerals. The follow through is reflective of candied red fruit with a dusting of powdered chocolate, light and airy. The wine is intriguing, especially for those familiar with California Chardonnay, but it's not a strong dislike. Decanting for an hour may enhance its complexity, but it's worth returning to in its current form.
