WINE DESCRIPTION
Red Hook Pier Forty-One Red is a Bordeaux-style blend hailing from the North Fork of Long Island AVA located within New York state. The wine is typically a majority of Cabernet Franc with a touch of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from a number of different vineyards. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and each variety is fermented separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Finally, the wine is aged for around 18 months in French oak barrels, before the wines are blended and bottled.
