NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Ramos Pinto Quinta de Ervamoira Vintage Porto is an exceptional wine with a rich and complex character. On the nose, expect intense aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and plum, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and a hint of spice. These complex aromas are a result of the wine's extended aging in oak barrels, which adds layers of depth and complexity.
The palate is equally impressive, with a full-bodied and velvety texture. The wine's well-integrated tannins provide structure and balance, while the vibrant acidity keeps the flavors fresh and lively. Flavors of black fruits, dried figs, and roasted nuts dominate, with a touch of caramel and vanilla from the oak aging.
The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and finesse. This vintage Porto is a true testament to the craftsmanship and expertise of Ramos Pinto, showcasing the best qualities of the Douro region.

ORIGINS
Winery: Ramos Pinto
Region: Douro
The Douro Valley in Portugal is one of the oldest and most iconic wine regions in the world. Located in the north of the country, the region is renowned for its stunning scenery and its production of world-class fortified wines.
The Douro Valley was first demarcated in 1756 and originally applied only to port production. It was extended to include table wine in 1979, with the first glimmer of the region’s potential for non-fortified still red wines appearing when port shippers Casa Ferreirinha launched Barca Velha in 1952. The focus on table wines did not take hold until the 1990’s, following Portugal’s accession to the EU.CUSTOMER RATING
