WINE DESCRIPTION
Radacini Ampre Rara Negra - Merlot - Saperavi is sourced from part of the 1000 hectares of their own vineyards in the 3 wine growing regions ensure a consistent wine year after year. Saperavi which is a native grape that hails from the Georgian Republic and means “dye,” provides an intense color and high acidity to the wine. This is balanced by Merlot that contributes midpalate breadth and plummy fruit. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented separately with Saperavi being aged in oak for 3 months to soften the grippy tannins resulting in a well-rounded, dark-fruited intensely flavored wine.

On the nose, you can expect aromas of dark berries, such as blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of spice and earthiness.The palate is rich and medium-bodied, with velvety grippy that provide a structured albeit well-rounded mouthfeel. The flavors of ripe black fruits dominate, with layers of blackberry, plum, and black currant. There is also a pleasant spiciness, with hints of black pepper, adding depth and complexity.
The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of dark fruits.
