This red wine hails from the renowned Dão region in Portugal and is crafted by Álvaro Castro, a respected winemaker. The blend is based on the typical grape varieties of the Dão: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz, and Jaen, sourced from 28-year-old vines at Quinta de Saes. The altitude of 500 meters and the granite-rich soil create optimal conditions for cultivating high-quality grapes, which after careful selection, are aged for 9 months in French oak barrels to allow the wine to develop its characteristic maturity and complexity.
