Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme began his winemaking journey in 2008 alongside Thierry Puzelat, gradually assuming greater responsibility before eventually taking over a 9-hectare domain. His creation, Le Telquel, primarily features Gamay grapes complemented by Grolleau and Pineau d'Aunis sourced from neighboring vineyards. The wine undergoes semi-carbonic maceration in wooden vats followed by six months of aging in old barrels, resulting in an approachable wine that showcases delicate red fruits and vibrant acidity. Le Telquel is particularly enjoyable when paired with a hearty chicken pie or a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, making it a versatile choice for various culinary occasions.
