WINE DESCRIPTION
Prince Michel Chardonnay is a white wine produced by Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery, located in the heart of Virginia's wine country. The wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Monticello AVA, that sits atop the Carter Mountain. The vinification involves a fermentation in a combination of temperature-controlled stainless steel vats that provides freshness, whilst a small proportion vinified and aged for around 12 months in French oak barrels lends a richness and creaminess to the wine. The two elements are blended together to create a subtly oaked Chardonnay brimming with fruit flavors.

This Prince Michel Chardonnay is a bright, pale gold white wine.The nose is inviting and expressive, boasting aromas of candied lemon, custard apple, and fresh pineapple. There is a touch of freshly churned butter and a hint of spice that accompany the fruit aromas. On the palate, it features a creamy texture and flavors of ripe apple, honeydew melon, and a hint of vanilla. The finish is moderate in length and delicate, with a pleasing balance of acidity and an underlying spiciness.
