WINE DESCRIPTION

Porter-Bass Chardonnay is produced from grapes that are certified organic and sourced from the cool Sonoma Coast. The vineyard is planted with blocks located on the cooler north-facing sides, allowing for an extended growing season leading to a slow aromatic development. Ceritas favor minimal intervention in the cellar, aiming to express the site through the variety. The wines are typically aged in a small proportion of new or used oak to give just a hint of spice to the wine without masking the variety or sense of place.

Porter-Bass Chardonnay has a medium straw hue.On the nose, you can find aromas of ripe citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, along with hints of smoke and vanilla. The palate is beautifully balanced, with vibrant acidity lifting the flavors of juicy pear, apple and the faintest touch of sweet spices from oak aging. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of citrus and a subtle minerality.
