This Populis Wabi-Sabi Red is a deep, ruby-tinged red blend of Zinfandel, Carignan, and Petite Sirah.On the nose, intense aromas of ripe raspberry, dark cherry, and blackberry mingle with subtle notes of vanilla and clove. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and bold, with flavors of dark fruit and sweet spice backed by firm tannins and a balanced acidity. The North Coast of California has a long and storied history of winemaking, dating back to the mid-1800s. The region was first planted with vines by Spanish missionaries, who planted Mission grapes in the area. In the late 1800s, Italian immigrants began to settle in the region, bringing with them their own grape varieties and winemaking techniques.
