WINE DESCRIPTION
This Chardonnay is produced by Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, which has been crafting Virginia estate wines since 2011. Grapes are sourced from Monticello, coming from their Clovergreen, Honah Lee, Sweet Briar and Cedar Creek vineyards. The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before being matured in a combination of steel and neutral oak vats for around 9 months prior to release.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Pippin Hill Farm Chardonnay has a medium straw color with gold reflections.The nose has vibrant aromas of ripe apple, pear, and citrus, accompanied by subtle hints of butter. The wine is dry, with zingy acidity immediately providing freshness and lift, complementing the flavors of juicy apple and pear. These notes are further enhanced by a touch of lemon zest and fresh pineapple. The wine is linear and moderate in length, culminating in a dry finish.
