WINE DESCRIPTION
Pietro Beconcini Reciso Sangiovese is grown on predominantly sandstone soils with an abundance of compact white clay. These soils help retain water during the warm growing season and slow ripening, ensuring the grapes achieve full flavor ripeness. Grapes are crushed and fermented in temperature-controlled glass-lined cement vats with extended maceration on the skins. Maturation takes place in large barrels Slovenian oak for around 2 years, with a further year in bottle prior to release.

Pietro Beconcini Reciso Sangiovese reveals aromas of tart red cherries, under-ripe strawberries, and red plums, accompanied by subtle hints of dried herbs and earthy undertones.The palate is rich and medium to full-bodied, with firm tannins that provide a satisfyingly drying sensation. Flavors of juicy red fruits dominate the palate, complemented by nuances of dark tea, tobacco, and a touch of spice. The wine displays excellent balance and structure, with a relatively persistent finish.
