WINE DESCRIPTION
Made from 100% nero mascalese grown in a single vineyard at 800m on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, this is a wild wine. Elegant, tart and scented this has great poise and energy. Wild strawberry, floral, and sour-cherry flavours, are lifted by the bright acidity on this light-bodied delicate Sicilian red, which shows complex ferrous minerality on the finish.

Pietradolce Etna Rosso is crafted from the indigenous Nerello Mascalese grape variety, which thrives in the volcanic soils of Mount Etna.On the nose, Pietradolce Etna Rosso offers enticing aromas of ripe red berries, cherries, and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of volcanic minerals. The palate is elegant and well-balanced, with a medium body and silky, lightly grippy, tannins. Flavors of red fruits, such as raspberries and cranberries, mingle with notes of black pepper and a touch of iron-like minerality, adding complexity to the wine. It a perfect companion for a variety of dishes, including roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.
