WINE DESCRIPTION
Every one of Sir Peter's wines, no matter the varietal, features the image of a California poppy as a sentimental nod to the orange blossoms that adorned the hills when he first set foot on this land. In the vineyards, instead of roses, wild poppies bloom. Les Pavots, the flagship blend, was the wine that Sir Peter envisioned when he embarked on his quest for a vineyard site in 1976. It primarily consists of two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remaining portion divided evenly between Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with a touch of Petit Verdot. This refined Cabernet blend delights in its distinctive blueberry notes, a hint of herbs de Provence, and its splendid representation of the complete range of red Bordeaux varietals.
