WINE DESCRIPTION

Peter Jakob Kühn Oestricher Lenchen Riesling Auslese is supremely balanced, refreshing sweet white wine from the Rheingau region of Germany. Peter Jakob practises biodynamic viticulture and has achieved Demeter certification. The vines are situated on gentle slopes running down to the Rhine around the villages of Oestrich and Hallgarten. Grapes are carefully hand selected, pressed slowly and fermented without temperature control. The fermentation is halted prematurely to retain sweetness that balances the brisk acidity of Riesling, before the wine undergoes extended lees ageing before it is bottled.
