WINE DESCRIPTION
Pepperwood Grove Merlot is an easy-drinking red wine with grapes sourced from all over California. After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and fermented in inert vessels at low temperatures to retain vibrancy of fruit and produce a gently tannic and easy-drinking style. The wines are matured for a period in oak to further round out the mouthfeel and contribute aromas of sweet spices.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
This Pepperwood Grove Merlot has a deep ruby color and an inviting nose of ripe black cherry, cedar, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it has a medium body and soft tannins that balance the ripe fruit flavors of blackberry, plum, and chocolate. The finish is relatively short, albeit pleasant and fruity, with a supple texture and a touch of oak to complement the fruit flavors.
