Driven by a love for farming and a deep passion for wine, Tony Peju's journey led him from the Caspian Sea to France, England, and Los Angeles before he found his calling in Napa Valley. In 1982, he and his wife Herta acquired a strategic 30-acre plot in Rutherford, neighboring renowned wineries like Robert Mondavi and Inglenook. This prime location, nestled between Highway 29 and the Napa River, featured century-old vineyards and a 1900-era house. Today, the Peju legacy continues as their daughters, Lisa and Ariana, actively engage in every facet of the Peju Winery, ensuring a promising future for this family-run Napa Valley gem.
