WINE DESCRIPTION
Block 007 is a standout vineyard located on the eastern bench above Dry Creek, producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Established in 1992 and farmed on a Scott Henry trellis system for optimal ripeness, the vineyard's well-drained, gravelly soil is ideal for growing Cabernet. In 2019, cool, even weather and perfect harvest conditions led to beautifully balanced fruit with rounded tannins and rich flavors. The grapes were picked on October 8, cold soaked, and fermented in small stainless steel tanks, then aged for 18 months in American oak barrels, with 40% new oak, yielding a Cabernet of singular quality.
