WINE DESCRIPTION
This Sparkling Shiraz is made by Paringa who established their brand in 1999. The name “Paringa” reflects a partnership with nature; it derives from the local Aboriginal language for “place at the river”. Farming one of the driest continents on earth, water and rivers have always been a major player in the vineyards. The wine is fermented in stainless steel to retain the varietal character of Shiraz and purity of fruit. Carbon dioxide is capture to give the wine an attractive effervescence which lifts the ripe, black fruit and spicy aromas.

The finish is fruity and fresh, with a focus on ripe dark cherries and blackberries and underlying spiciness.

South Australia has a long and proud history of winemaking, dating back to the early 19th century. The first vines were planted in the Barossa Valley in 1842, and the region quickly became known for its quality wines. The Coonawarra region was established in the late 19th century, and is now renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
