WINE DESCRIPTION
Pacifico Sur Carmenère is a pungent, herbaceous, highly varietally-expressive wine produced in Chile's Central Valley. Hand-harvested Carmenère grapes undergo a fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures with the aim of retaining varietal character and purity of fruit. Part of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for around 6-8 months before being blended in stainless steel tanks where it is aged for a further 3-6 months prior to bottling.

Pacifico Sur Carmenère offers an intense nose of ripe blackberries and plums, accompanied by marked herbaceous notes of green bell pepper, freshly cut chilies.The palate has a medium body and lightly grippy tannins that are slightly rustic in nature giving contrast to the flavors of dark fruits, such as blackberries and cassis. The fruit flavors takes center stage, complemented by notes of dark chocolate and a touch of spice. The wine's well-balanced acidity adds freshness and vibrancy complementing the herbaceous notes.
