This full-bodied and robust Ogier Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes Les Chorégies Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a deep and complex wine. Its nose is full of dark fruit aromas, including blackberry, plum, and black currant. There are also hints of warm spices, such as pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, the wine has a velvety texture with juicy tannins and a long finish. The flavors are a beautiful combination of blackberry jam, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco. It pairs well with slow-cooked meats such as lamb and beef, as well as game dishes. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for up to 20 years.

Wine Expert Note:

This classic Southern Rhône blend exudes a complex and complex nose of blackberry, redcurrant, and dark plum. Spicy notes of black pepper, licorice, and dried herbs give way to an intense and powerful palate, with notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum that are complemented by hints of warm spice and earth. The tannins are velvety and the finish is long and persistent. A truly outstanding example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
