Wine Description:
Ochagavia Silvestre Carmenère is a historic estate that marked a national winemaking milestone by being the first estate to plant French varieties in Santiago in 1851. The grapes used in this wine were harvested either mechanically or manually depending on the vineyard. They were subsequently fermented and macerated with on skins in stainless steel tanks in order to extract color, flavors and textures. These processes were carried out under controlled temperature conditions. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was aged in tanks for a few months to round out the mouthfeel.
