WINE DESCRIPTION
Lenza di Munti, an Etna Rosso, embodies the tradition of Sicilian winemaking with a blend of indigenous Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes. Grown at approximately 720 meters on lava terraces of Mount Etna, it absorbs distinctive mineral notes from the volcanic soil. The carefully maintained dry-stone walls between terraces enhance its unique terroir. Harvested in late October, well after most of Sicily, the grapes undergo stainless steel fermentation and age for about four months in wooden casks. Fragrant with berries, cherries, and blood oranges, it captivates the palate with a mineral-driven start, delicate fruit, and refined tannins—a profound wine rooted in over a century of Nicosia family dedication to traditional Etna viticulture.
