WINE DESCRIPTION
Morambro Creek Shiraz comes from grapes sourced from the Padthaway region located in the Limestone Coast in South Australia. The family-owned vineyard is characterized by the fertile terra rossa (red limestone) soils for which the region is known. After fermentation, the wines undergo oak maturation using a combination of new and used French and American barrels that contribute an array of sweet spices and vanilla notes, creating extra complexity in the wine.

Morambro Creek Shiraz has a deep almost inky purple appearance with heavy staining of the tears.The aromas leap from the glass with classic characteristics of Shiraz, offering intense aromas of blueberry, blackberry, plum, and spice. On the palate, this wine offers a rich and velvety texture, with flavors of dark fruits, crushed spearmint, and a hint of black pepper. The tannins are well-integrated, providing a smooth and lingering finish that culminates with a hint of mint chocolate.

South Australia has a long and proud history of winemaking, dating back to the early 19th century. The first vines were planted in the Barossa Valley in 1842, and the region quickly became known for its quality wines. The Coonawarra region was established in the late 19th century, and is now renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
