Monticello Vineyards Merlot Estate Grown is a rich, full-bodied, dry red wine hailing from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, California.
The Merlot is harvested from the Home Ranch and Knollwood Vineyards. The wine is fermented at warm temperatures to create a richly extracted wine with a velvety mouthfeel. Finally, the wine is matured for around 20 months in French oak prior to blending and bottling. This period of ageing increases the aromatic complexity, giving notes of cinnamon and clove, whilst further improving the wine's texture.
