Giuseppe Apicella Tramonti Rosso is an unusual blend of Tintore of Tramonti, Aglianico and Piedirosso produced in the Costa d'Amalfi, Campania. Vineyards are planted at high elevation on loamy soils. The grapes undergo a manual harvest with sorting in the vineyard, followed by de-stemming and crushing. The resulting juice and skins are transferred to temperature-controlled fermenters. It is then left for about 4 months in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees, followed by a further period of around 2 years in Slavonian oak barrels.
