WINE DESCRIPTION
Maryhill Proprietor's Reserve Merlot made from estate fruit sourced from the McKinley Springs and Kiona vineyards. Grapes are harvested, then crushed and vinified in inert vessels to control the extraction of tannins and fruit flavors. The resulting wine is aged for around 19 months in a mix of new and used french oak casks that contribute texture and sweet baking spices to the final wine before it is bottled for release.

The Maryhill Proprietor's Reserve Merlot has a deep ruby color that stains the glass.The nose reveals ripe blackberries, plums, and cherries, accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The palate shows a harmonious balance between well-integrated oak spice and fruit flavors of blackberry, plum, and cherry that are joined by notes of dark chocolate. The wine's velvety tannins provide a smooth and elegant mouthfeel, while the well-integrated acidity adds a refreshing lift to the finish.
