Martinelli Lolita Ranch Pinot Noir is produced by Martinelli Winery, a family-owned winery located in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County, California. The Pinot Noir grapes come exclusively from the Lolita Ranch vineyard. This vineyard was part of the original Martinelli homestead before being sold but later reacquired by the Martinelli family. The Lolita Ranch vineyard is situated on a hillside with a south-facing slope, providing optimal sun exposure for ripening grapes. The wine is made by traditional methods including long aging in French oak barrels. The result is a complex and elegant wine with bold notes of dark cherry, raspberry, and spice, balanced by subtle acidity and silky tannins. This Pinot Noir is a perfect representation of the Russian River Valley terroir and a must-try for any wine enthusiast. Sadly, recent wildfires have hindered production from this vineyard. Older vintages may be available.
