WINE DESCRIPTION
Marques de Tomares Rioja Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo hailing from the north of Spain. Some of the vines that produced the fruit for this Reserva wine were planted as early as 1940. Old vines yield less fruit with a higher degree of concentration translating into wines with greater depth and aging potential. The wine is aged for a total of 36 months of which 18 months is in French oak barrels, and a further 18 months in bottle prior to release.

Marques de Tomares Rioja Reserva has a medium ruby color and complex aromas of ripe red fruits, such as blackberries and damson plums, along with hints of cinnamon, tobacco, and spices.On the palate, it is medium-bodied and round with a harmonious balance between fruit, savory notes and oak spice. The wine has firm, well-integrated acidity that provides a counterpoint to the ripe dark fruit and smooth tannins that slowly melt away on the long finish.
