WINE DESCRIPTION
Marco Felluga Russiz Superiore Pinot Grigio Collio is a refined expression of the Collio DOC, showcasing the craftsmanship of one of Friuli’s most celebrated producers. Nestled in the hilly terrains of Capriva del Friuli, the Russiz Superiore vineyards benefit from Eocene-era soils rich in sandstone and loam, ideal for cultivating exceptional Pinot Grigio. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully vinified, with 15% of the must fermenting in oak barrels and the remainder in stainless steel, followed by eight months of aging on the lees for added complexity. This meticulous process creates a wine of elegance and depth, embodying the timeless quality of the Collio region.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
The Marco Felluga Russiz Superiore Pinot Grigio Collio is an exceptional white wine from the Collio region of Italy. On the nose, this wine offers a bouquet of delicate floral notes, including white flowers and hints of citrus blossom. These aromas are complemented by subtle hints of ripe pear and green apple, adding a touch of freshness to the overall profile. The palate is equally impressive, displaying a perfect balance between crisp acidity and a smooth, velvety texture. Flavors of juicy white peach and zesty lemon dominate the palate, accompanied by a mineral undertone that adds complexity and depth. The Marco Felluga Russiz Superiore Pinot Grigio Collio is a wine that truly shines when paired with seafood dishes, such as grilled prawns or seared scallops. Its vibrant acidity and refreshing character make it a delightful choice for warm summer evenings or as an aperitif.
