WINE DESCRIPTION

Malk Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by Malk Family Vineyards, hailing from the Stags Leap District located within Napa, California. The wine is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Griffin Vineyard. The grapes are harvested and hand sorted before the berries are crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After completing the fermentation, the wine is matured for around 22 months in French oak, of which a high proportion is new, adding lavish and decadent notes of sweet spice and vanilla to the dark fruit profile.

Malk Cabernet Sauvignon has an inky deep purple appearance on pouring, staining the glass with thick tears and a viscous consistency.On the nose, the wine explodes with powerful intensity, revealing enticing aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry syrup, accompanied by hints of cedar, tobacco, and vanilla. The palate is filled with luscious black fruit flavors, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, which are complemented by notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a touch of spice. The wine's velvety tannins provide a smooth and elegant mouthfeel, while the vibrant acidity adds freshness and structure, framing the intense and persistent finish.
