WINE DESCRIPTION
Maison Leroy Volnay is a produced by the iconic Lalou-Bize Leroy. Her wines are some of the most sought-after and expensive wines in the world. The maison wines are their négociant arm, crafted from contracted grapes. In the vineyard, Lalou practises biodynamism and implements severe pruning and crop-thinning, resulting in extremely low yields. All the wines under strict sorting. Stems are typically included and wines are fermented using indigenous yeast before being matured in French oak barrels.

Maison Leroy Volnay has a pale to medium ruby appearance.The nose is stunning, slowly revealing layers of red fruits such as cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, accompanied by floral notes of violets and roses. With further time in the glass, hints of earthiness and exotic wood spice unfurls, adding complexity to the aroma profile. On the palate, there is a harmonious balance between delicate red fruit, earthiness and spice. The wine's acidity provides a refreshing and lively character, while the tannins contribute to its structure and age-ability. The finish is persistent, elegant and finely detailed, leaving a lingering impression of fruit and subtle spices.
