Luigi Vico Prapo Barolo is a distinguished creation from Azienda Agricola Luigi Vico, nestled in Serralunga D'Alba, Piemonte. Cultivating a mere 2 hectares of prized Barolo vineyards, the estate is committed to accentuating the region's essence, allowing Nebbiolo to authentically express itself. This Barolo, sourced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes in the Prapò vineyard of Serralunga d'Alba, undergoes a meticulous fermentation in cement vats for around 28 days. Aging then transpires in large 25 hl Fontainebleau oak barrels for 18 to 30 months. The wine presents an intense ruby-red hue, evolving into garnet and orange tones with aging. Its nose reveals a complex bouquet of red cherry, macerated strawberry, licorice, violet, and cocoa. The palate is expansive and full-bodied, characterized by evident yet mature tannins. Aged to perfection, Luigi Vico Prapo Barolo stands as a testament to Serralunga d'Alba's winemaking mastery and Nebbiolo's authentic expression.
