WINE DESCRIPTION
Louis Roederer Brut Premier is the main product of the celebrated champagne house Louis Roederer. This wine features the three main Champagne grapes with equal amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay supported by a smaller proportion of Pinot Meunier. With the base wine matured in oak barrels, this wine offers a fuller body with alluring toasty complexity. Aged for a minimum of 36 months before release, well in advance of the minimum requirement for Champagne, the vibrant acidity of this wine is well-integrated and effortlessly balances the rich mid-palate. This wine was discontinued in 2021 and replaced with the Solera-based Louis Roederer Collection series. However, this wine may still be available in many markets.

Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a difficult wine to dislike.With a pale gold color, the nose has all three grapes on display the lifted strawberry of Pinot Meunier, The red apple of Pinot Noir, and peachy Chardonnay notes. The mid-palate is enriched by the creamy mousse texture, and toasty oak notes but balanced by the vibrant acidity. The way that sweet spice notes from oak linger on the finish is particularly moreish. Drinking it makes one want to find excuses to drink it more often. Enjoy with roast chicken or shellfish and drink within 8 years.
