WINE DESCRIPTION
Louis Jadot Volnay is a village level wine produced in the Burgundy region made by the renowned Louis Jadot. The vineyards used to produce this wine are located in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune. The grapes are carefully hand harvested before being sorted and destemmed. The grapes are crushed and placed in traditional in open vats to begin the alcoholic fermentation. Once all the sugar is converted into alcohol, the wine is pressed off and matured for roughly 18 months in French oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, to add extra depth and complexity.

The Louis Jadot Volnay is a delightful Burgundy red with an array of well-defined red fruit, floral notes, and hints of cinnamon and smoke.On the palate, the wine is light to medium-bodied with a fresh acidity and silky tannins. There are layers of raspberry, plum, and strawberry, along with some earthy and freshly cut button mushroom notes. The finish is long and complex, with subtle notes of spice and oak. This is a well-structured and elegant wine with good potential for aging.
